Innocent Until Proven Guilty

Happy Friday, Friends!

I was just wonderin' - do you ever get accused of doin' stuff around your house that you haven't a clue about what happened? Happens to me all the time. For instance, just this mornin' I overheard Mom tellin' Dad that the bar of soap is missin' from her shower and that I am under suspicion for it's absence. Now, I'm talkin' about the woman that has put dirty dishes in the refrigerator instead of the dishwasher (that sits right beside it) talkin' and accusin' me of bein' a culprit in the crime of the missin' soap. Who knows where she mighta put the soap. Mebbee in my younger days I woulda pulled a stunt like that - but come on!!! I'd like to be appreciated for the mature dawg that I've become, at least every oncet in awhile. Sigh........what's a dawg to do? If'n you have any suggestions, puhleeze let me know. Until then, I will just continue to try to impress upon my PUs a squeaky clean image of my Big Brown self.

Now don't worry your furry little heads about this ~ I wanna hear back from you on Monday that you're guilty of a whole bunch of fun this weekend.

Snowball Battle

This is my Planet Dog Snowball that I got for Christmas this year.
Guaranteed not to melt.

I love my snowball ~ it's so
oooey, gooey, nice and chewy.
Even the vacuum cleaner thought so.

Mom performed an emergency snowballectomy and I'm glad to say
that the patient lived and is recuperatin' nicely.

I am sorry to say that the weekend has ended.
Hopefully, today finds you recuperated and ready to take on the
battles of the upcomin' week.

Sherlock Hoover and the Case of the Dirty Laundry

My dear constituents of DogBlogville, it pains me to tell you that there's been a vile deed inflicted upon a most innocent victim.
The villain left a scene of horror and to the untrained eye,
it looked as though there was not so much as one clue to his identity.

This case was not for just any ordinary detective ~
this was a case for none other than:

Sherlock Hoover

The Victim: P.U. Bag
Address: 1000 Dust Bunny Lane, Pennsylvania
Occupation: holder of dirty vacation clothing
Age: unknown

The crime scene: the spare bedroom

What looked like an unsolved mystery to most, soon became an open and shut case for Sherlock Hoover. Careful examination of the crime scene revealed the clue that would prove to be the undoing of the criminal at large.

Super sleuth Hoover quickly noticed that the rope necklace that used to adorn Mr. Bag was nowhere to be found. With that in mind, Hoover's nose quickly picked up its scent and he followed it straight to the butcher of Mr. Bag.

Who would have guessed that it was Canine Mustard?
Arrogantly he still held the victim's necklace in his paw.

The perpetrator was soon apprehended, booked and
is being held without bones bail. Maybe with time and counseling, he will find a new leash on life. But for now, you can all rest easy knowing this slayer is not roaming the streets of your town anymore.

Yet another week of unknowns lies ahead,
and as much as we'd like to be packin' our vacation bag,
we must not remain clueless. The best way to get it over with is to
just tie it up neatly and get it over with.

Crafty Canine

Welcome back to DogBlogville after the extended Thanksgivin' holiday weekend. I hope you all scored loads of table treats after spendin' many, many long hours rehearsin' those sad, "nobody ever feeds me anything" looks stuck to your "people food is bad for me" commitments.

The economy bein' what it is, I don't think I speak alone when sayin' that we're all tryin' to cut corners and save biscuit money wherever we can this Christmas. Mebbee some of you are Black Friday sales shoppers and that's all well and fine, but I'm here to tell you how to create a unique, personalized gift that will sure to be a hit for all the dawgs on your shoppin' list.

Materials needed:

Choose one of the better balls you've got layin' around and have become bored with. I will use my Softflex Bestball for demonstration purposes.

Then choose 1-3 of your other toys, depending on the size of the ball. These will be going inside the ball so choose accordingly. Remember now, these will be a gift so do not choose one of your favorites or it might be hard to part with. A small Kong, a toy dumbbell, a pink ball with a rattle inside are what I've chosen from my toybox. I've had a lot of fun with these toys....and that pink ball I've had since I was a puppy....and that Kong is perfect for holdin' treats. A-hem! Sorry I was havin' a moment -now I'm back and ready to proceed with my demonstration.

Step #1

Chew a nice, toy-sized whole in one end. (Ladies, LADIES! I know it's hard but TRY and focus on the TOY!!!)

Here, this closeup might help you to keep your mind on the subject at paw:

Step #2

Always keep in mind that you cannot replace what you take out. Once it's gone, it's gone. Also note, hole does not need to be an exact circle. It is actually more challengin' bein' an odd-shape. This looks perfecto!

Step #3

Now, just place one or more of the chosen toys in the hole and VOILA! You have two toys in one!

Guaranteed to impress your friends with your ingenuity! This is one gift they will always remember. Trust me, one of these can keep a dawg entertained for hours on end. Nuthin' else will matter as their prey drive kicks in and they try to remove the "innards" from the ball. Hmmm....mebbee I should give it a test drive before actually givin' it away, you know - just to be sure it's "friend-worthy".

I dunno, mebbee I better go back to the drawin' board.
You know what they say, if at first you don't succeed,
try, try again. So that's what I'm gonna be doin' till
I see you again. Tryin' and tryin' to get
my toys outta this dogonne ball!

Woofs and slobbers,
Chester ;0=)

Health Nut

Nutrition: the act or process of nourishing or of being nourished.

Eatin' plenty of greens is part of a healthy diet.

Exercise: bodily or mental exertion, especially for the sake of training
or improvement of health.

Plenty of fresh air and exercise not only burns calories,

it also helps to maintain a sunny disposition.

Hydration: to supply water to an individual in order
to restore or maintain fluid balance.

(Technical difficulties have forced me to upload
my hydration demonstration to YouTube. Please click here.)

Just a little sumpthin' to keep in mind this week as you go about your business.
Speakin' of business, I would appreciate a little privacy here as I
take care of another healthy bodily function.

I hope your week moves quickly, smoothly and
doesn't stink too much.

I'd love to stick around but work is calllin'.
Don't worry, I never bite off more than I can chew.
I hope you have a great week and you are able to chew yourself
outta any sticky situation you may find yourself in.
