Two Tickets to Paradise

Most of you know we got another dump load of the white stuff this weekend. Not just a wheelbarrow full either. We got hammered with somewhere in the neighborhood of fifteen inches. Sure, it's all fun and games when it's six or seven inches but too much more than that cramps my style. It's tough to make good time when my bulgin' chest and my six pack abs are draggin' across the top of the snow.

I believe this next move is what you 2 legger
football fans call unnecessary roughness:

OK, so maybe I was a little rough,
but the referee didn't see it so there was no flag on the play.

Anyway, as much fun as that was, I must reiterate, this snow just doesn't hold a candle to runnin' willy nilly across the wide open fields and into a woods brimmin' with trees. I need a little getaway, maybe even do some swimmin'. Who else but Ms. Truffles to accompany me on such a sweet escape? I dialed her cell and for once, the line was not busy.

Ms. Truffles: Hello?

Chester: Hey Baby, I got two tickets to paradise. Won't you pack your bags? We'll leave tonight. We'll throw some cat crunchies and our swimsuits into a suitcase and head over to Acapulco. Don't worry about expenses, it's on me.

Ms. Truffles: You had me at cat crunchies. You say we're leavin' tonight?

Chester: Yep, I'll be there by sooner than you can destuff a stuffie.

Ms. Truffles: Sounds delicious! OH NO! I just remembered that Sasha and I were going to go shopping. Then the 4 of us were going to go over to her Momster's house for some spasgetti. You know her Momster makes the best spasgetti in the world.

Chester: I'm sure she does, but I just had an idea! Why don't we take Nerd Bob and Sasha along? She's havin' surgery on the 19th and this will be just the thing to take her mind off of it. The swimmin' might actually do her leg some good too.

Ms. Truffles: PERFECT! I'll call them up and insist they join us and you go get the other two tickets awhile.

Chester: Consider it done! This is just what we all need to chase away the winter blues.

FAST FORWARD TO THE NEXT DAY

As you begin another work week, just remember this:
No matter how deep it gets, if you look hard enough,
you can always see a little bit of paradise hangin' around.

Chester ;0=)

Chester,
We sure love the snow, but we love paradise/beach, too. Our humans are taking us to the beach toward the end of this month. We are going to love playing in the sand, too.

Wheeee! At least it's beautiful floofy snow and you look so gorgeous tearing through it and into your hooman! Ouch! Acapulco looks delightful, however, but at tale's end, you had me in stitches, you funny pup!

Ah, the tropics, what a perfect place to be right now! But alas, we must continue to endure the never-ending snow... we're sending even MORE your way. Sorry...

Ringo barrels at me too, although he hasn't knocked me over. yet. He's such a solid fellow I'd be afraid that when he body slams me, he might break something. On me, not him!

Inspirational and appropriate Monday post. I think the consensus from most blogs today was: Mondays suck. I'm glad to see the other side, the optimistic one.
I loved your video. You had so much fun!
