Roses and Happy Trails

First and foremost, I'd like thank Joey who just sent me a lovely rose bouquet award.

Pink Roses are given to all friends out there, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift, you need to pass it on to 10 friends of yours to show them you care. And of course, for those who received the roses, that's to show that you're never forgotten.

I've got alot of folks I'd like to pass the love to. Each for their own special reason but mostly because of the love you share with your 4 legged friends. And because spring is here and we all wanna be outside enjoying it, if you feel the need to pass them on, please do. If not, be content to keep them to yourself. I'm not gonna check up on you to see if you followed the rules.

Now for the big news!
(drum roll, please)

I went on my first bicycle trip yesterday! Ya see, Mom and Dad used to do this bicycle thing quite alot before I came to live with them. Then last summer Dad was out of commission as far as biking was concerned with a back problem. But he says he is ready to ride. But the problem is, they both hate to leave me home alone. They've seen Cesar Millan do the bike thing with a dog so they thought they'd give it a try with me.

I started out with Mom and I thought all was going well, She seemed to enjoy me pulling her and she didn't even have to pedal. Ok, let's see what this buggy will do, I says to myself. I put it in high gear and took off. She starts woahing me up 'cuz we were well over the speed limit. So we regroup and I got the idea pretty quick that I was supposed to trot right beside her.

So then Dad wants to give it a try and Mom slips into position behind us. Of course, she has to whip out the camera. So here's a picture of me trotting beside Dad.

They both seemed real pleased and said they will take me again-as long as it's not too hot. A couple more trips and I think I will be ready for the Tour de France.

It was a very good day. The sun was shining, the gale force winds had stopped blowing and spring was in full bloom. I was so tired I didn't even try to drive the truck on the way home.

Woofs and happy trailin' slobbers,
Chester

Thank you for the flowers Chester and I love how you said "My Mason D"
Mom wants to do the bike thing with me too, but I am afraid I will get caught in the wheels. Is it hard?

Hi Chester! I'm glad you like the roses. You passed them on to some very nice friends. That looked like a really fun bicycle trip! In such a pretty place, too.

See ya!

I tried that bike/leash thing long back. Let's just say it did not work out so well. Glad you had better luck - I was constantly doing Superman launches over the handlebars.

Chester - you are one cool pup! I'd trade anything (well...almost) to have Nalla follow me on a leash like that while I ride the bike. But she's scared of her own shadow so I think it might torment her too much.

Oh - and to Chester's Mom! Thanks so much for my lovely bouquet of pink roses! They're on my blog and, though I haven't "followed the rules" I did want to tell you how much they meant to me!

Love ya!
