..................the big Dawg wants to post!!
Hello friends in DogBlogville! This is Chester's Mom. Now don't you all go worrying over that rascally brown son of mine, he's fine and up to his normal shenanigans. It's just that I felt the need to share with all of you some fantastic news from a friend of mine. I got a call last night from her that after almost 3 years of waiting on China to release children to their agency for adoption-her and her husband were given not one, but two daughters to choose from and they have given the Ok for the one. They will travel in July/August to get her. I was slightly familiar with the adoption process through another couple who adopted a daughter from Guatalmala a few years ago. But my friends who have been waiting on this little girl have had to go through one ordeal after another-not the least of which their whole package of completed, notorized papers ready to go to China was stolen because it had been placed in a mailbox instead of given directly to the agency. MONTHS OF PAPERWORK-GONE! This meant that they had to start all over getting the papers together and filled out. That's just one little part of this long drawn out process which has tested their patience to the max.
I know they have had their ups and downs but now that they have received pictures of this little beauty it is all looking up!!! If you would like to see this little girl who will known as Shelby in the future you can go to their website which also has a history of their adoption process if you're interested. She is absolutely precious and is a very lucky girl to be coming home to be raised by my friends.
If you'd like to comment, I'm sure she'd love to hear a "Wa-Freakin'Hoo" out of you. (Famous words of the Mom-to-be)
Thanks for sparing your time to listen to Chester's Mom. Chester will return to this driver's seat very soon with what I'm sure will be some kind of badnes he's been up to-along with some pictures to prove it.
Chester: Hey Mom, you misspelled "badness" up there and it is almost a crime to post without at least one picture of me.
Chester's Mom: I think the folks know what I mean and for once this is not all about you.
Chester: Look, if you're gonna take a whack at this blogging, at least be woman enough to listen to my expert advice.
Chester's Mom: Don't worry, you know I don't have time to take over this blog and keep up with all your dawg friends like you do.
Chester: Oh, so now I don't do nothing but blog all day. Geeesh-I'm feelin' way underappreciated now. Haven't you noticed that hunting season is in full swing and I'm doin' a mighty fine job of ridding the fields of my natural born enemy?
Chester's Mom: Sigh! 4 legged kids-can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em!!!

Congrats to your friends on their perseverance! My Mom has friends who adopted from India years ago and it also took forever and lots of $$$.
Kisses,
Stella
Thanks for the post Meesh!
We are very happy and in love with her already...
It wasn't really a choice of two, we were just reviewing one when the other came under radar...
Either way though, we found her now though!
Thanks again for all of your support!
How exciting for your friend!! I know of several people who have adopted from other countries and their experience has been awesome. Way to keep up the hard work. =)
OMG! Another Chester? My new little brother is named Chester. Do you like cats? We have a lot of dawg friends for some reason....
Nice to meet you!

Hi Chester! We just visited your friend's site and sent along our good wishes. That's such exciting and great news! It was nice of you to give up your post to non-Chester things today. And you're a good proofreader.
See ya!

How incredibly exciting and I'll visit their site! Mom's sister has three children that she adopted as babies from China (ages 10, 12, 14)and my only regret is that I don't get to see my nieces as often as I'd like as they are in NY and we are in CA sigh. Chester - you should enter a spelling bee!
Hugs and Love xo
